Mark P. Brieden, DDS, MS, received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit, then continued at the University of Minnesota for his Masters in Science degree in the specialty of orthodontics. His advanced studies include certification for Advanced Training in Facial Orthopedics, Temporomandibular Joint Problems and Mini Implants. Dr. Brieden has also achieved Invisalign® Premier Provider status, placing him in the top 5% of Invisalign® clinicians in the United States.
Dr. Brieden belongs to national, state and local dental and orthodontic associations, including ADA, MDA, AAO, MAO, GLAO, WMDS as well as the American and Michigan Cleft Palate Associations. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is also co-founder of Of One Heart, a local non-profit organization offering assistance to children with cleft and craniofacial problems.
Nationally, Dr. Brieden participates in a study club for orthodontists. As a team member, he and his colleagues skilled in plastic surgery and oral maxillofacial surgery share a special interest in the repair of clefts and craniofacial adnormalitiesin effect, the renewal of health for these special patients. Away from the practice, Dr. Brieden spends time with his wife Dixie, and their four children, is involved with church activities, sponsors and coaches local baseball, soccer, Lacrosse and hockey teams for youth and finds time for golf, fishing, and even plays hockey himself (with a mouth guard, of course).
